2019 NRL Season
The 2019 NRL season was the 112th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 22nd season run by the National Rugby League. The Sydney Roosters became the first team to win back-to-back Premierships since the Brisbane Broncos in 1992–93, and the first to achieve the feat since the unified NRL competition started in 1998. Teams The lineup of teams remained unchanged for the 13th consecutive year. Pre-season The 2019 pre-season featured the 2019 All Stars match, All Stars match held on February 15 at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium, AAMI Park. Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club, known as the Sydney Roosters are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs (Sydney), Eastern Suburbs. The club competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. The Roosters have won fifteen New South Wales Rugby League premiership, New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and National Rugby League titles, and several other competitions. John Morris (rugby League)
John Morris (born 29 July 1980), is an Australian professional rugby league coach who is the Assistant Coach and defence coach for Wests Tigers and a former professional rugby league footballer. He previously played as a or for the Newcastle Knights, Parramatta Eels, Wests Tigers and the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the National Rugby League. Morris was selected on the bench for Country Origin to play City Origin in 2002 and 2003. Background Morris was born in Scone, New South Wales, Australia. Endeavour Field, known colloquially as Shark Park or Sharks Stadium, is a rugby league stadium in the southern Sydney suburb of Woolooware, New South Wales, Australia. It is the home ground of the Cronulla-Sutherland Rugby League Club, which represents the Cronulla and Sutherland Shire areas in the National Rugby League competition. The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks are an Australian professional rugby league club based in the Sutherland Shire of Southern Sydney, Southern Sydney, New South Wales. Cronulla compete in the National Rugby League (NRL), Australasia's premier rugby league competition. The Sharks, as they are commonly known, were admitted to the New South Wales Rugby League premiership, predecessor of the Australian Rugby League and the current National Rugby League competition, in January 1967. Josh Jackson (rugby League)
Josh Jackson (born 8 January 1991) is a former Australian professional rugby league footballer who played as a forward and was the captain of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the NRL. At representative level he has played for NSW Country, New South Wales in the State of Origin series, and Australia. Background Jackson was born in Gulgong, New South Wales, Australia. He played his junior football for the Gulgong Bull Terriers and Mudgee Dragons. In 2007 his family moved to Newcastle, New South Wales. Dean Pay (born 3 June 1969) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer and former head coach of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League (NRL), a professional player who played in the late 1980s and 1990s. He played for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the Parramatta Eels. He was an Australia and State of Origin representative for the NSW Blues. Belmore Sports Ground, formerly known as Belmore Oval, is a multi-purpose stadium in Belmore, New South Wales, Australia. The park covers and from 1951 has contained the Belmore Bowling Recreation Club green. It is close to Belmore railway station. The stadium has a capacity of 19,000 people and was built in 1920, with the grandstand itself having the capacity to seat 10,000 people. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Belmore, a suburb in the Canterbury-Bankstown region of Sydney. They compete in the NRL Telstra Premiership, as well as competitions facilitated by the New South Wales Rugby League, including the NSW Cup, the Jersey Flegg Cup, NSWRL Women's Premiership, Tarsha Gale Cup, S.
