The 2019 Missouri Valley Football Conference season was the 34th season of college football play for the Missouri Valley Football Conference and part of the 2019 NCAA Division I FCS football season. This was the MVFC's 8th consecutive season with 10 teams, and would be their last for now as they added North Dakota Fighting Hawks football, North Dakota in the following offseason. 2019 North Dakota State Bison football team, North Dakota State won the conference title and achieved the number 1 overall seed again in the 2019 FCS Playoffs. The Bison would go on to win their 8th 2020 NCAA Division I Football Championship Game, National Championship in 9 years. 2019 South Dakota State Jackrabbits football team, South Dakota State, 2019 Illinois State Redbirds football team, Illinois State, and 2019 Northern Iowa Panthers football team, Northern Iowa all made the playoffs, with the Jacks being the number 7 overall seed. 2019 Southeast Missouri State Redhawks Football Team
The 2019 Southeast Missouri State Redhawks football team represented Southeast Missouri State University as a member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) during the 2019 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by sixth-year head coach Tom Matukewicz, the Redhawks compiled an overall record of 9–4 with a mark of 7–1 in conference play, sharing the OVC title with Austin Peay. Southeast Missouri State received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division I Football Championship playoffs, where the Redhawks lost to Illinois State in the first round. Chris Klieman
Christopher Paul Klieman ( ; born September 27, 1967) is an American college football coach. He is the head football coach at Kansas State University, a position he has held since the 2019 season. Klieman served as the head football coach at North Dakota State University from 2014 to 2018. He succeeded the retiring Bill Snyder at Kansas State after leading the North Dakota State Bison to four NCAA Division I Football Championship titles in five seasons. Matt Entz
Matthew John Entz (born October 9, 1972) is an American college football coach who is the head football coach at California State University, Fresno (Fresno State), a position he has held since 2025. He also served as the head coach at North Dakota State University from 2019 to 2023. Entz took over from the departing Chris Klieman after Klieman led the 2018 North Dakota State Bison football team to the program's seventh NCAA Division I Football Championship in eight seasons. Entz was the defensive coordinator for the Bison from 2014 until his promotion following the 2018 season. 2018 North Dakota State Bison Football Team
The 2018 North Dakota State Bison football team represented North Dakota State University in the 2018 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by fifth-year head coach Chris Klieman, who also coached his final season with the Bison before heading off to take over for the retiring Bill Snyder at Kansas State. The team played their 26th season in the Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakota as members of the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
