Death Of Rasha Al-Hassan
Rasha al-Hassan (died August 23, 2018) was an Iraqi beautician and entrepreneur. She was the founder of the Viola center for Iraqi Medical Beauty in Baghdad, Iraq. al-Hassan was named one of Iraq's "Thursday victims" when her 2018 death was connected to that of other prominent Iraqi women. al-Hassan's death raised international attention to the deaths of Iraqi women and was widely speculated to be part of a conspiracy against Iraqi women's empowerment and the beauty industry. Two of the "Thursday victims" deaths were undisputedly the result of targeted assassinations. The circumstances around al-Hassan's death were less certain after acting Iraqi prime minister Haider al-Abadi openly questioned official reports of her death by natural causes. Chronology January–April Between January and February 2018, Iraqi security forces and Peshmerga clashed with the White Flags around parts of the Kirkuk and Saladin governorates for control of oil fields which the Iraqi government claims the group's priority is. Fadhil Barwari
Fadhil Jamil Barwari (1 April 1966 – 20 September 2018) was an Iraqi army general who served as the commander of the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service#Command Structure, ISOF-1 brigade of the Counter Terrorism Service. Prior to that, he served as the commander of the 36th Commando Battalion. In November 2017, Barwari was implicated in a corruption scandal to “cheat the US State Department out of millions of dollars”. He died of a heart attack in 2018. Barwari was a graduate of the Second Iraqi Military Academy in Zakho. Early life and education Barwari was born in Duhok in 1 April 1966, to a Kurds in Iraq, Kurdish family from duhok.
