The president of Colombia ( es, Presidente de Colombia), officially known as the president of the Republic of Colombia ( es, Presidente de la República de Colombia) or president of the nation ( es, Presidente de la Nacion) is the head of state and head of government of Colombia. The office of president was established upon the ratification of the Constitution of 1819, by the Congress of Angostura, convened in December 1819, when Colombia was the ''" Gran Colombia"''. The first president, General Simón Bolívar, took office in 1819. His position, initially self-proclaimed, was subsequently ratified by Congress. The current president of the Republic of Colombia is Gustavo Petro, who took office on 7 August 2022. 2018 FIFA World Cup
The 2018 FIFA World Cup was the 21st FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for men's national football teams organized by FIFA. It took place in Russia from 14 June to 15 July 2018, after the country was awarded the hosting rights in 2010. It was the eleventh time the championships had been held in Europe, and the first time they were held in Eastern Europe. At an estimated cost of over $14.2 billion, it was the most expensive World Cup ever held until it was surpassed by the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Herbert García King (16 December 1963 – 2 August 2018), known artistically as Herbert King, was a Colombian actor. Biography King was born in the city of Santa Marta and in his youth moved to England, where he had his training in dramatic art. Back in his native country he moved to the city of Bogotá where he began his career as an actor. After a minor appearance in the series ''The alternative of the scorpion'', he joined the cast of '' Guajira'', popular telenovela of 1996 by RCN Televisión. Two years later he played the role of Bernabé in the short film by Sergio Cabrera, ''Golpe de Estadio''.
