2017 UCI Europe Tour
The 2017 UCI Europe Tour was the thirteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2017 season began on 26 January 2017 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Santanyí-Ses Salines-Campos and ended on 17 October 2017 with the Nationale Sluitingsprijs. Belgium, Belgian rider Baptiste Planckaert (), who scored 1,605 points in the 2016 UCI Europe Tour, 2016 edition, was the defending champion of the UCI Europe Tour. Nacer Bouhanni () won the overall standings for the second time in three years; won the team classification, while France won both the overall nations' title and the under-23 equivalent. Race structure Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The 2017 Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana () was a road cycling stage race that took place in the Valencian Community between 1 and 5 February 2017. The race was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2017 UCI Europe Tour, and was the 68th edition of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana. The race was won by Colombian rider Nairo Quintana for the , who took the race lead on the penultimate day after winning the queen stage of the race atop the Alto Mas de la Costa. 2017 Trofeo Laigueglia
The 2017 Trofeo Laigueglia was a one-day road cycling race that took place on 12 February 2017 in and around Laigueglia, Italy. It was the 54rd edition of the Trofeo Laigueglia and was rated as a 1.HC event as part of the 2017 UCI Europe Tour. The race was won by Fabio Felline, riding for an Italian national team select, attacking the peloton with around remaining, and soloing away to victory by 25 seconds from his closest competitor.
