The 2017 Bangkok Challenger was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the ninth edition of the tournament and was part of the 2017 ATP Challenger Tour. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Henri Joona Julius Laaksonen (, Swiss Standard German: ; born 31 March 1992) is a Swiss professional tennis player. His highest singles ranking is world No. 84, which he achieved on 14 February 2022, and his highest doubles ranking is world No. 191, achieved on 24 December 2018. Early life Laaksonen's father, Sandro Della Piana, is a former Swiss tennis player. His mother is from Finland. His parents separated very early in his life, but he nonetheless kept contact with his father. He started playing tennis at the age of 3. Blaž Kavčič
Blaž Kavčič (born 5 March 1987) is a Slovenian former professional tennis player. He was the highest ranked Slovenian male player ever, achieving a career-high of World No. 68 in August 2012, until Aljaž Bedene began to play for Slovenia again in January 2018, overtaking him with a career high ranking of 49. He became the first Slovenian ATP singles player to: achieve a Top 100 ranking, win a Grand Slam main draw match and perform at the Summer Olympics. Jürgen Zopp (born 29 March 1988) is a retired professional Estonian tennis player. He is Estonia's all-time highest ranked male tennis player with a career-high singles ranking of World No. 71 in 2012. Nils Langer (; born 25 January 1990, in Ludwigsburg) is a German retired tennis player. Langer reached a career high ATP singles ranking of world No. 188, achieved in March 2016. Lloyd Glasspool (born 19 November 1993) is a British professional tennis player who specializes in doubles. Cedrik-Marcel Stebe (; born 9 October 1990) is a German professional tennis player. He reached his career-high singles ranking of world No. 71 in February 2012.
