2013–14 Dutch Basketball League
The 2013–14 Dutch Basketball League season was the 54th season of the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands. The defending champion is Zorg en Zekerheid Leiden. GasTerra Flames from Groningen won their 4th title by beating SPM Shoeters Den Bosch 4–3 in the Finals. Teams All teams from the 2012-13 Dutch Basketball League, 2012-13 season returned. The club EiffelTowers Den Bosch changed its name to ''SPM Shoeters Den Bosch'' after their new sponsor SPM Shoes & Boots and Stepco BSW became Maxxcom BSW. During the season Rotterdam Basketbal College changed its name in ''Challenge Sports Rotterdam'' after Challenge Sports became their new main sponsor. The 2012–13 Dutch Basketball League was the 53rd season of the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands. The season started on 6 October 2012 and ended on 23 May 2013. Second-seeded ZZ Leiden won the DBL title, after defeating fourth-seeded Aris Leeuwarden 4–0 in the play-off finals. EiffelTowers Den Bosch player Andre Young (basketball), Andre Young was voted the DBL Most Valuable Player Award, Most Valuable Player of the regular season. BC Apollo
Apollo Amsterdam is a Dutch basketball team based in Amsterdam. The club plays its games in the Promotiedivisie, the Dutch second-level league. The club was founded in 2011 and has played in the highest national level for years, from 2012 to 2023. They qualified for the national playoffs four times. The amateur section of the club is known as BC Apollo. Apollo Amsterdam is known for their focus on developing the Dutch basketball players and giving them growth perspective in a foreign player dominated league. Challenge Sports Rotterdam
Rotterdam City Basketball, is a Dutch professional basketball club based in Rotterdam. The team plays in the BNXT League and plays its home games at the Topsportcentrum next to De Kuip in Rotterdam. Established in 1954, it became the basketball section of the football club Feyenoord in 2018. However, this cooperation was dissolved in 2025. Rotterdam won their only trophy in 1985, when they won the domestic NBB Cup. The team has reached the semi-finals of the Dutch League playoffs three times in history.
