2011–12 PBA Season
The 2011–12 PBA season was the 37th season of the Philippine Basketball Association. The season was formally opened on October 2, 2011 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, and finished on August 5, 2012. The season used three-conference format, starting with the Philippine Cup, or the traditional All-Filipino Conference. The mid season Commissioner's Cup featured unlimited height limit for imports. The Governors' Cup became the third and final conference for this season. The first activity of the season was the 2011 PBA Draft held on August 28, 2011, at the Robinsons Place Manila in Ermita, Manila. PBA On AKTV
The PBA on One Sports is the branding for presentation of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) games which started since the 2011–12 PBA season, 2011-12 season. Telecasts are produced by One Sports (formerly Sports5 and ESPN5), the sports division of TV5 Network, TV5 Network Inc., and aired through One Sports (TV channel), One Sports and PBA Rush, with simulcast and livestreaming on Cignal Play, Pilipinas Live and Smart LiveStream. Also, there is a separate coverage in English commentary on PBA Rush since July 15, 2016. TV5, formerly known as Associated Broadcasting Company (ABC), previously handled the coverage of the games from 2004 PBA Fiesta Conference, 2004 to 2007-08 PBA season, 2008. Robinsons Manila (formerly Robinsons Place Manila, also known as Robinsons Ermita and Robinsons Place Ermita), is a large shopping mall located in Ermita, Manila, Philippines. It is the largest Robinsons Mall ever built. The San Miguel Beermen are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). It is one of three PBA clubs owned by the San Miguel Corporation group of companies along with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots. It is the most successful franchise in the history of the PBA and the only remaining original franchise in the league. The Beermen have the most titles with 29 and the most all-time victories with more than 1,200 wins. The Meralco Bolts is a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association. The team began in 2010 after the Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) acquired the PBA franchise of the Sta. Barako Bull Energy
The Barako Bull Energy were a Philippine Basketball Association that began in 2002 as the FedEx Express. From its first season until 2005, the team was dubbed as the FedEx Express before changing to Air21 Express. From the 2009 PBA Fiesta Conference until the 2009–10 PBA Philippine Cup, it became known as the Burger King Titans. However, when manager Mikee Romero decided to pull out of the team, they were reorganized and renamed the Burger King Whoppers before returning to their original name starting the 2010 PBA Fiesta Conference. Joaquin Trillo
Joaquin "Joaqui" Llamas Trillo is a Filipino former basketball coach and executive formerly served on Alaska Aces. Career Early career Trillo played for La Salle under Tito Eduque. He coached the team from 1978 (they are still in NCAA) until 1986. Alaska In 1990, Fred Uytengsu hired Trillo as the manager of Alaska Air Force. Together with Tim Cone, they won multiple championship, including a Grand Slam in 1996. After Cone left Alaska, Trillo was promoted as Governor of the team in 2012 until 2014. The Alaska Aces were a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association since 1986 PBA season, 1986 under the ownership of Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC) and the owner of 14 PBA championships, tied with the Magnolia Hotshots for the third-most titles overall.
