2011 United Football League (Philippines)
The 2011 United Football League (Philippines), United Football League (known as the LBC United Football League for sponsorship reasons) began with seven teams in Division 1 and eight teams in Division 2. This was the second season of the United Football League since its establishment as a semi-professional tournament in 2009. The season started on 23 January 2011 with two matches at the University of Makati Stadium. Philippine Air Force F.C. are the current defending Champions. The Philippine Air Force F.C., Philippine Air Force won their second title in the first division. The Manila Nomads F.C., Manila Nomads won their first title in the second division and together with Stallion F.C., Stallion FC and Pasargad F.C., Pasargad, they were promoted to the 2012 United Football League (Philippines), 2012 United Football League Division 1 after their good stint in the 2011 UFL Cup. Dan Stephen Castillo Palami (born June 9, 1970) is a Filipino business and sports executive. He was the general manager of the Philippine men's national football team from 2009 to 2024. He is credited for his contributions to the revival of football in the Philippines due to the national team's performance at the 2010 AFF Championship. Alexander Charles Luis "Aly" Borromeo (born 28 June 1983) is a former American-born Filipino footballer who played as a defender. He played for the Philippines national team. Club career Borromeo joined Kaya in 1999, and has been the captain of the first team for several years during his tenure. He went on a loan to Global during the 2010–11 season and led the club to be the champions of the 2010 UFL Cup during that season.
