Miss Thailand Universe 2010
Miss Thailand Universe 2010, the 11th Miss Thailand Universe pageant held at Sofitel Centara Grand Hotel, in Bangkok, Thailand on 20 March 2010. The contestants will camp in Kamphaeng Phet before flying back to Bangkok for the final stage. Chutima Durongdej, Miss Thailand Universe 2009, will crown her successor at the end of this event. In the final round, broadcast live on BBTV Channel 7, Fonthip Watcharatrakul, was crowned Miss Thailand Universe 2010 by Chutima Durongdej, Miss Thailand Universe 2009. Thailand participated in the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China between 12–27 November 2010. 2010 Floods In Thailand And North Malaysia
A series of flash floods hit different areas of Thailand and Malaysia in 2010. Separate but related floods began in Isaan, Northeast and Central Thailand (per the six-region definition) in early October due to abnormally late monsoon moisture over the Bay of Bengal, overflowed the Chao Phraya where the rivers meet, and affected Bangkok, and in the Southern Thailand, South were triggered by a tropical depression about two weeks later, and were later aggravated by related ''La Niña'' monsoon rains. Floods subsequently occurred in the Malaysian states of Kedah and Perlis in November 2010. Although flooding is a common and annual occurrence in this part of the world, a combination of inadequate drainage and higher-than-average rainfall in October and November 2010 caught the nation off guard and led to disaster. 2010 Thai League Division 1 is the 13th season of the League since its establishment in 1997. It is the feeder league for the Thai Premier League. A total of 16 teams will compete in the league. League Expansion It was announced at the end of the season that the TPL would increase the number of teams for the start of the 2011 Thai Premier League season. Therefore, at the end of season the three teams in the Thai Premier League that finished the season in the bottom three places (14th, 15th and 16th) would face the fourth, fifth and sixth teams from Division One in a promotion/relegation series. The six teams will be divided into two groups of three. They will meet each other in their group on a home-and-away basis with the winner of each group earning spots in the top flight next season.
