Secretariat Of The Navy
The Secretariat of the Navy (, SEMAR) is one of the twenty-one state secretariats of the government of Mexico. It is in charge of designing, planning, executing and coordinating public policies related to the Mexican Navy. The Secretary of the Navy is a member of the federal executive cabinet, as well as the highest-ranking Mexican naval officer with the responsibility of commanding the Mexican Navy, including the Mexican Marine Corps as well as the Mexican merchant marine service. The secretary is appointed by the President of Mexico. Rodolfo Elizondo Torres (born July 18, 1946) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the PAN. Elizondo Torres was born in Durango, and holds a bachelor's degree in administration from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM). Ernesto Javier Cordero Arroyo (born 9 May 1968) is a Mexican actuary, public servant, and politician affiliated with the National Action Party (PAN). He served twice as a cabinet member during the Calderón administration: first as secretary of social development and then as secretary of finance and public credit until he resigned to participate in the PAN's 2012 internal elections for the presidency of Mexico, which he lost. María Beatriz Zavala Peniche (born October 23, 1957, in Mérida, Yucatán) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the National Action Party PAN who has served in the lower and upper house of the Mexican Congress.
