Eivind Aarset-2006
Eivind is a Norwegian masculine given name of Norse origin, ''Auja-winduR''. It is made up of two parts: ''Auja'' meaning "lucky/gift", and ''winduR'' meaning "winner and/or warrior". The name ''Eivind'' is also used in Denmark and Sweden, and as '' Eyvindur'' in Iceland, though appearing less frequently than in Norway. Trygve Seim
Trygve Seim (born 25 April 1971) is a Norwegian jazz musician (saxophone) and composer. He started to play the saxophone in 1985 after hearing Jan Garbarek's CD ''Eventyr''. Career Seim was born in Oslo. He studied music at Foss videregående skole (1987–90) and attended the Jazz program at the Trondheim Musikkonservatorium (1990–92), where he completed studies in jazz saxophone. Further more Seim studied composition with Terje Bjørklund, Bertil Palmar Johansen, Edward Vesala and Bjørn Kruse. In 1991, he and fellow student, the pianist Christian Wallumrød founded the group Airamero in 1991, including bassist Johannes Eick and drummer Per Oddvar Johansen. The band released the album ''Airamero'' in 1994. It also undertook several concert tours in Scandinavia and Germany. Seim became part of Jon Balke's band Oslo 13 in 1992, and took over the joint leadership of this orchestra in 1994 together with Morten Halle and Torbjørn Sunde. Now the band is called 1300 O ... Kristiansand
Kristiansand is a seaside resort city and Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Agder county, Norway. The city is the fifth-largest and the municipality the sixth-largest in Norway, with a population of around 112,000 as of January 2020, following the incorporation of the municipalities of Søgne and Songdalen into the greater Kristiansand municipality. Punktfestivalen
Punkt International Music Festival or Punktfestivalen has been held every year in Kristiansand, Norway since 2005. Biography Punktfestivalen was established by the musicians Jan Bang and Erik Honoré. They have collaborated from 1980, with the specialty of Bang's live sampling and programming and Honoré's abilities as musician, producer and author. The main objective of the festival is to present experimental music from all over the world and provide innovative musicians an opportunity to share common experiences. Punktfestival in 2008 included musicians like Gavin Bryars, J. Peter Schwalm, Nik Bärtsch and Jon Hassell. David Sylvian visited the 2013 version of the Punktfestival. In 2014 Laurie Anderson appeared.
