picture info	Khaled Mashal Khaled Mashal (, ; born 28 May 1956) is a Palestinian politician who served as the second chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau from 1996 until May 2017, when he was succeeded by Ismail Haniyeh. He has also covered duties as the acting leader of Hamas twice, from July 2024 until August 2024 and since October 2024, after both leaders were assassinated by Israel. He was regarded as one of the most prominent leaders of Hamas since the death of Ahmed Yassin, alongside Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar. Israel's occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the 1967 Six-Day War forced Mashal's family to flee Palestine. He has since lived in exile in other parts of the Arab world. 	Abdelsalam Al-Majali Abdelsalam Atalla al-Majali ( ; ; 18 February 1925 – 3 January 2023) was a Jordanian physician and politician who served twice as Prime Minister of Jordan. Early life and education Majali was born in Al-Karak, Emirate of Transjordan, on 18 February 1925. He received his medical degree from Syrian University in Damascus in 1949. He also held a diploma of Laryngology and Otology from the Royal College of Physicians in London, which he obtained in 1953. He was awarded a fellowship by the American College of Surgeons in 1960. In 1974, he received the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa from Hacettepe University. Career Majali was director of medical services for the Jordanian Armed Forces from 1960 to 1969. He also served as minister of health (1969–1971), minister of state for prime ministerial affairs (1970–1971 and 1976–1979) and also, minister of education (1976–1979). 	Abdul Karim Al-Kabariti Abdul Karim al-Kabariti ( ; ; born 15 December 1949) is a Jordanian politician and businessman who was the Prime Minister of Jordan, 30th Prime Minister of Jordan from 4 February 1996 to 9 March 1997. Early life and education Kabariti was born in Amman, Jordan on 15 December 1949 to a prominent Aqaba family. He studied geology at the American University of Beirut, American University in Beirut and received his bachelor's degree in business and finance with honors from St. Edward's University in the United States, in 1973. Kabariti was granted an Honorary Doctorate degree in Business Administration for his significant contribution to the financial sector across the Middle East and for his commitment to education and the political process in Jordan from Coventry University in 2015.
