Yonhap News Agency (; ) is a major news agency in South Korea. It is based in Seoul, South Korea. Yonhap provides news articles, pictures, and other information to newspapers, TV networks and other media in South Korea. History Yonhap was established on 19 December 1980, through the merger of Hapdong News Agency and Orient Press. The Hapdong News Agency itself emerged in late 1945 out of the short-lived Kukje News, which had operated for two months out of the office of the Domei, the former Japanese news agency that had functioned in Korea during the Japanese Japanese colonial era. In 1999, Yonhap took over the Naewoe News Agency. He rose to fame in the 2007 television drama ''First Wives' Club'', and has since played leading roles on '' The Road Home'' (2009), '' Don't Hesitate'' (2009), '' Life Is Beautiful'' (2010), and '' Feast of the Gods'' (2012). Oh Sang-mi, better known as Sam Oh is a South Korean television host, radio broadcaster. A Korean expatriate who has been living in the Philippines for 20 years. She can speak Tagalog and English in addition to her native Korean. She has been the main hostess of ''Rated Oh!'' on Solar Entertainment's ETC cable channel for eight seasons and a columnist of ''The Manila Times''. ''A Taxi Driver'' () is a 2017 South Korean political action drama film directed by Jang Hoon and written by Eom Yu-na, with Song Kang-ho starring in the lead role, alongside Thomas Kretschmann, Yoo Hae-jin, and Ryu Jun-yeol. Based on a real-life story, the film centers on a taxi driver from Seoul who unintentionally becomes involved in the events of the Gwangju Uprising in 1980. It is based on German journalist Jürgen Hinzpeter's interactions with driver Kim Man-seob; however, as very little information on Kim was known at the time of the filming, most elements regarding his life and the events that happened to him outside of Gwangju are fictional. ''The Last Witness'' () is a 1980 South Korean mystery film directed by Lee Doo-yong, based on the 1974 novel of the same title by Kim Seong-jong. A remake with the same title was released in 2001. Plot Detective Oh Byung-ho is assigned to investigate the murder of a brewer in Munchang. He learns that the brewer, Yang Dal-soo, helped capture four guerrillas and kill nine during the Korean War. Kang Man-ho, one of the guerrillas that surrendered, recalls that he was entrusted by Son, his eccentric commander at Jirisan, with the safety of his daughter, Son Ji-hye, as well as a map showing the location of a fortune inherited from Son's landlord family.
