''Sepoy'' () is a term related to ''sipahi'', denoting professional Indian subcontinent, Indian infantryman, infantrymen, traditionally armed with a musket, in the armies of Army of the Mughal Empire, the Mughal Empire and the Maratha Army, Maratha.
