Busted are an English pop-punk band from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, consisting of James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson. Formed in 2000, the band has had four UK number-one singles, won two Brit Awards, released four studio albums and sold over 5 million records worldwide. The band released the albums ''Busted (2002 Busted album), Busted'' in 2002 and ''A Present for Everyone'' in 2003 before disbanding in January 2005. Following the split, all three members pursued separate musical careers: Simpson as the frontman for the post-hardcore band Fightstar, Bourne as the lead singer of pop-punk band Son of Dork and Willis as a solo artist. Busted (horse)
Busted (16 March 1963–11 March 1988) was a British Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. He was trained at first in Ireland but was moved to England, where his form improved enormously. In 1967, he was undefeated in four races, winning the Eclipse Stakes and the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes and being voted horse of the year. After his racing career was ended by injury, he was retired to stud, where he proved to be a highly successful sire of winners. Background Busted was a "big, handsome" bay horse bred by his owner, Stanhope Joel's Snailwell Stud. He was sired by the 1957 Epsom Derby winner Crepello out of the mare Sans le Sou. Joel bought Sans le Sou for 750 guineas after an undistinguished racing career which was hampered by a tendency to break blood-vessels. Joel sent the colt to be trained in Ireland by R.N. ''Busted'' is a 1997 comedy film, starring Corey Feldman, Corey Haim and Elliott Gould. The film marked Corey Feldman's directorial debut. ''Busted: A Tale of Corruption and Betrayal in the City of Brotherly Love'' is a 2014 non-fiction book by Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker. The book details the true tale of how Ruderman and Laker, two reporters at the ''Philadelphia Daily News'', led an investigation into police corruption in Philadelphia. This book shows the back story of the "Tainted Justice" investigation which earned the women a Pulitzer Prize in 2010 for investigative reporting. Plot summary At the time of the investigation, the newspaper was in deep financial trouble. The company, which also owns the ''Philadelphia Inquirer'', only had one lawyer at the time.
