Buses In Brussels
The Brussels buses network is complementary to the rail network in Brussels, Belgium, which consists of trams, trains, and metro trains. Brussels buses are operated by STIB/MIVB, the local public transport company. It has 50 bus routes and 11 night routes, which run on Friday and Saturday night. Some buses from Flemish transport company De Lijn and Walloon transport company TEC also serve Brussels but are not part of the same bus system. History The first motor buses were used in Brussels in 1907, with one route connecting the Brussels Stock Exchange to Ixelles' Municipal Hall. It was then stopped in 1913. Other buses were set in service from 1920 on, and in 1926, ''Les Autobus Bruxellois'', a bus company, was founded to operate the bus network. Linkebeek (, ) is a Belgian municipality in the Halle-Vilvoorde district (''arrondissement'') of the province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality only comprises the town of Linkebeek proper. Louise/Louiza Metro Station
(French) or (Dutch) is a Brussels Metro station on the southern segment of lines 2 and 6. It is located under the Small Ring (Brussels' inner ring road) at the /, at the end of Avenue Louise/Louizalaan, in the City of Brussels, Belgium. The station takes its name from that nearby avenue, itself named after King Leopold II's eldest daughter, Princess Louise. The metro station opened on 19 August 1985 and was the southern terminus of line 2 until the opening of an extension to Gare du Midi/Zuidstation on 2 October 1988. Line 2 has since been extended beyond Gare du Midi to Clemenceau in 1993, Delacroix in 2006, and Gare de l'Ouest/Weststation in 2009. De Brouckère () is a rapid transit station located under the Place de Brouckère/De Brouckèreplein in central Brussels, Belgium.
