Burma National Basketball Team
The Myanmar national basketball team represents Myanmar (Burma) in international basketball competitions and is controlled by the Myanmar Basketball Federation. Myanmar is the world's most populous nation to never qualify for one of the ''Big Three'' international basketball competitions. FIBA Asia Cup
The FIBA Asia Cup (formerly the FIBA Asia Championship and ABC Championship) is an international basketball tournament which takes place every four years between the men's national teams of Asia and Oceania. Through the 2015 edition, the tournament took place every two years and was also a qualifying tournament for the FIBA World Cup and the Olympic basketball tournament. However, since 2017, the tournament was renamed the FIBA Asia Cup and now includes teams from FIBA Oceania. Also, it was the first to be played on a new four-year cycle, and is no longer a part of the qualifying process for the World Cup or the Olympics. 2007 FIBA Asia Championship
The 2007 FIBA Asia Cup, FIBA Asia Championship for Men was the qualifying tournament for FIBA Asia at the Basketball at the Summer Olympics, men's basketball tournament at the 2008 Summer Olympics at Beijing. The tournament was held in Tokushima, Tokushima, Tokushima, Japan from July 28 to August 5, 2007. Participating teams qualified through the previous edition of this tournament and others through regional qualifiers. 2005 FIBA Asia Championship
The 2005 FIBA Asia Championship was the men's basketball qualifying tournament for FIBA Asia at the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan. In order to qualify for the tournament, teams would have to go through regional qualifier competitions. At the main tournament, three nations qualified for the world championships including China national basketball team, China, Lebanon men's national basketball team, Lebanon and the host country, Qatar national basketball team, Qatar. China defeated Lebanon in the championship game, 77–61; and Qatar defeated Korea national basketball team, Korea, 89–77. Qualification According to the FIBA Asia rules, each zone had two places, and the hosts (Qatar) and Stanković Cup champion (Korea as runner-up) were automatically qualified.
