Burkinabé Men's Basketball Championship
The Burkinabé Men's Basketball Championship (in French: ''Championnat du basket-ball hommes du Burkinabé'') is the top division basketball league in Burkina Faso. The league is organised by the Burkinabé Basketball Federation (FEBBA) and existed of 20 teams in the 2021–22 season. The championship is decided by a single-game final, and the champions are eligible to compete in the Road to BAL, although no team has yet participated. Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in West Africa, bordered by Mali to the northwest, Niger to the northeast, Benin to the southeast, Togo and Ghana to the south, and Ivory Coast to the southwest. Road To BAL
The Road to BAL, also known as the BAL Qualifying Tournaments, are the qualifying tournaments of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). While the main tournament is co-organised by FIBA and the NBA, the organization of the qualifiers is completely done by FIBA. The first qualifying rounds began on 16 October 2019 during the 2021 BAL qualification. The qualifiers are geographically divided into the West and East Division, with three teams qualifying out of each division. Semi-finals and finals are played to determine the winners of the qualifying tournaments. Académie d'Or des Archers (in English: Golden Academy of Archers), shortly AOA or Archers, is a Burkinabé basketball club based in Ouagadougou.
