Buddhi Sagar
Buddhi Ram Chapain, popularly known as Buddhisagar ( ne, बुद्धिसागर; born 2 June 1981) is a Nepalese writer and poet. He is best known for his novels, ''Karnali Blues'' and ''Phirphire''. Early life Buddhisagar was born on 2 June 1981 in Kailali district of Nepal. Later his family moved to Katase Bazzar and finally Kalikot district. His debut and most popular novel ''Karnali Blues'' is also set in these locations. He was passionate about writing from an early age. From a very early age, his poems were played on radios. He moved for Kathmandu after passing his School Level. Literary career On moving to Kathmandu, he studied journalism at RR Campus. He was a journalist of '' Naya Patrika'' and '' Nagarik News'' before he set his career as a full-time writer. Buddhisagar published his first novel, ''Karnali Blues'', in the Autumn of 2010, and it has since been warmly received and widely praised. Tharu Language
The Tharu ( Tharu: थारु, hi, थरुवा) or Tharuhat ( ne, थरुहट) languages are any of the Indo-Aryan languages spoken by the Tharu people of the Terai region in Nepal, and neighboring regions of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in India. Tharu languages are spoken in the Tharu community. This languages are similar to other neighboring languages. Tharu language is one of the major language spoken in Nepal. Although their own precise classification within Indo-Aryan remains uncertain, Tharu languages have superficial similarities with neighbouring languages such as Kumaoni, Awadhi, Maithili, Bengali, Rajbanshi and Bhojpuri. Michael Hutt (academic And Translator)
Michael James Hutt (born 11 October 1957) is Professor of Nepali and Himalayan Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. He is engaged in the study of modern and contemporary Nepali literature, and as a translator. He has also published on Nepali politics, Nepali art and architecture, censorship in the Nepali print media, and the Bhutanese refugee issue. Biography and career Michael Hutt was educated at St. Austell Grammar School, and St. Austell Sixth Form College before completing a BA in South Asian Studies (Hindi) in 1980 and a Ph.D. on the history of the Nepali language and its literature in 1984, both at SOAS. In 1987 he returned to SOAS as a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow, and has been engaged in teaching and research relating to Nepal here ever since.
