Bucaneros De Zitácuaro
Bucaneros de Zitácuaro Fútbol Club is a Mexican professional football team based in Zitácuaro, Mexico that plays in Liga TDP. History The team was founded in 2021, being registered in the Amateur Section of Mexican Football, a semi-professional category, in 2022 the club won the championship known as Cuarta División. In the summer of 2023, the club purchased a franchise in the Liga TDP, the fourth tier of the Mexican professional football system, so starting in the 2023–24 season the team began to compete professionally. However, in order to play the team was relocated to Maravatío due to the existence of a professional team in Zitácuaro. In their first professional season the team qualified for the promotion play-offs, although they were eliminated in the round of 16. In the summer of 2024, the board began a project to improve the club, which began with the announcement of the construction of its own stadium in Zitácuaro. Maravatío is a municipality in the Mexican state of Michoacán, representing 1.17% of its land area, or 691.55 km2. Liga TDP is a professional association football league in Mexico and the fourth level of the Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Tercera División de México (1967–2017). It has 223 participating clubs, divided into 17 regional groups by geographic location. In the 2009–10 season, the format of the tournament has been reorganized to a home and away format, which all teams will play in their respective group. 2024–25 Liga TDP Season
The 2024–25 Liga TDP season was the fourth-tier Association football, football league of Mexico. The tournament began on 5 September 2024 and finished on 6 June 2025. Competition format The Tercera División (Third Division) is divided into 17 groups. Since the 2009–2010 season, the format of the tournament has been reorganized to a home and away format, which all teams will play in their respective group. Zitácuaro, officially known as Heroica Zitácuaro, is a city in the Mexican state of Michoacán. The city is the administrative centre for the surrounding municipality of the same name, which lies at the extreme eastern side of Michoacán and borders on the adjacent state of México. Club Deportivo Real Zamora is a Mexican football club that plays in the Liga Premier - Serie B, however, from 2019 to 2020 season, the club is on hiatus because the club is in a process to improve its facilities and aspire to a promotion to the Liga de Expansión MX.
