Broersen And Lukács
Broersen and Lukács is an artist duo living and working in Amsterdam and is formed by Persijn Broersen (Delft, 1974) and Margit Lukács (Amsterdam, 1973). They have been working together since 2001 making mostly video-art and video-art installations using various mediums such as photography, video and animation. Central to their artworks is the relationship between individuals and their environments, both nature and society, and how this is influenced by the current, media based society. Their works have been part of numerous exhibitions but have also been shown on festivals, for example IFFR and Lowlands festival. The Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten (State Academy of Fine Arts) was founded in 1870 in Amsterdam. It is a classical academy, a place where philosophers, academics and artists meet to test and exchange ideas and knowledge. The school supports visual artists with a two-year curriculum. The Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten was the home of Amsterdam Impressionism, part of the international impressionist movement, and is known as the School of Allebé by art historians; August Allebé became the school's director in 1880. In French, the school was called "l'Académie Royale des Beaux Arts d'Amsterdam". Among its pioneers here were George Breitner, Jan Toorop, Piet Mondrian, Jacques Witjens and Willem Arnoldus Witsen. Nature Boy
"Nature Boy" is a song first recorded by American jazz singer Nat King Cole. It was released on March 29, 1948, as a single by Capitol Records, and later appeared on the 1961 album '' The Nat King Cole Story''. It was written by eden ahbez as a tribute to Bill Pester, who practiced the ''Naturmensch'' and ''Lebensreform'' philosophies adopted by Ahbez. The lyrics of the song relate to a 1940s Los Angeles–based group called "Nature Boys", a subculture of proto-hippies of which Ahbez was a member. "Nature Boy" was released during the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) ban of 1948. It reached the top of the ''Billboard'' music charts and sold over a million copies, helping to establish Cole's solo career, and introducing him to the white music market. Nathaniel Adams Coles (March 17, 1919 – February 15, 1965), known professionally as Nat King Cole, alternatively billed as Nat "King" Cole, was an American singer, jazz pianist, and actor. Białowieża Forest is a large forest complex on the border between Poland and Belarus. Bauer is a band founded in 1999 by former Bettie Serveert drummer Berend Dubbe and based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. To support the debut Bauer album with live shows, Dubbe formed a live band and with member Sonja van Hamel, Bauer was presented as a pop-duo from 2000-2006. Together, they released three records.
