It has also been presented as Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor or Actress, Best Young Actor and Best Young Performance. First awarded in 2004, the accolade is voted for by a panel. The British Soap Awards (BSAs) are an annual awards ceremony in the United Kingdom which honours the best moments in British soap operas. The ceremony is televised on ITV. Darren "Daz" Eden is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale'', played by Luke Tittensor. He made his first appearance in the show on 9 October 2003. Six years into his tenure on the soap, it was announced that Tittensor had been released from ''Emmerdale'' due to a conviction of grievous bodily harm.
