Bristol All Golds
Bristol All Golds is a rugby league team based at North Bristol RFC Bristol All Golds, formerly the University of Gloucestershire All Golds, consist of six different teams, with the first team entering RFL League 1, Kingstone Press Championship 1 for the 2013 season and exiting it to join the Southern Conference League in 2017. Below the semi-professional side, there are two student teams that compete in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues; the All Golds in the Super 8 national league and the All Blues in the Wales and West Division. There are also three junior sides that take part in the Midlands Junior League. Men's team History The University of Gloucestershire rugby league club dates back to the late 1990s. In 2008, they were given a slot in the BUCS Super 8, the highest student rugby league division, which they retained until 2017. Marcus James Brown (born April 3, 1974) is an American former professional basketball player. At tall, he played as a shooting guard. A three time All-EuroLeague selection, Brown has been mentioned as being one of the top U.S. players ever to play abroad. Brown ended his career as a player-coach with BC Žalgiris, Žalgiris Kaunas in 2011. Brown was the EuroLeague's career scoring leader since the year 2000, when he ended his career in October 2011. The 2017 League 1, known as the Kingstone Press League 1 for sponsorship reasons, was a professional rugby league football competition played in England, Wales and Canada, the third tier of the sport for RFL affiliated clubs. The 2017 League 1 season was expanded to 16 teams with the first professional Canadian team Toronto Wolfpack joining the British game. The fixture list was first issued in October 2016 when the inclusion of York City Knights in the league was in doubt so the Knights were omitted from the fixture list. York's inclusion in the league was confirmed at the beginning of December and the fixture list was re-issued to include the club. The 2016 League 1, known as the Kingstone Press League 1 for sponsorship reasons, was a semi-professional rugby league football competition played in England, the third tier of the sport in the country. The 2015 Championship 1, known as the Kingstone Press League 1 for sponsorship reasons, was a semi-professional rugby league, rugby league football competition played in England, the third tier of the sport in the country. The 2015 Championship 1 featured fourteen teams, who all played each other once; Each team then played nine other teams again, based on a geographical basis, totalling 22 games. Two teams were promoted from Championship 1, due to the restructure of Super League, Championship and Championship 1. After the 22 regular season games, the top two sides faced each other and the winner was automatically be promoted to the Kingstone Press Championship as champions, while the loser and the teams finishing 3rd, 4th and 5th contested the play-offs and the winner was also promoted.
