Brian Douglas Williams (born May 5, 1959) is an American journalist and television news anchor. He was a correspondent for ''NBC Nightly News'' starting in 1993, before his promotion to anchorman, anchor and managing editor of the broadcast in 2004. In February 2015, Williams was suspended by NBC News for six months for "misrepresent[ing] events which occurred while he was covering the 2003 invasion of Iraq, Iraq War in 2003". Four months after the incident came to light, the network removed him from ''NBC Nightly News'' permanently and reassigned him as the breaking news anchor for MSNBC. In September 2016, Williams became the host of MSNBC's political news show, ''The 11th Hour (news program), The 11th Hour''. Brian Williams is an Irish graphic designer, developer of advertising commercials, and short film director. A graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology, Williams is a winner of multiple industry awards who has worked with U2, a number of TV stations and a range of major brands. Early life Williams was born in Dublin, Ireland, and went to school at Oatlands College, a Christian Brothers school between Mount Merrion and Stillorgan. He then pursued studies in graphic design for print, TV and film at the College of Art and Design within the Dublin Institute of Technology, at Mountjoy Square. He graduated from the four year degree course in Advanced Visual Communications in 1991. Career Williams was employed as a graphic designer by the agency Works Associates, led by Steve Averill. Brian Roger Williams is an Argentine Anglican bishop. Since 2020, he has been diocesan bishop of the Diocese of Argentina in the Anglican Church of South America, and since 2023 he has been presiding bishop of the province. Biography Williams was born and raised in Buenos Aires. Prior to his consecration as bishop, Williams was rector of the rapidly growing Iglesia de San Miguel y Todos los Ángeles in the Buenos Aires suburb of Martínez. Brian Glyn Williams is a professor of Islamic History at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth who worked for the CIA. As an undergraduate, he attended Stetson University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1988. He received his PhD in Middle Eastern and Islamic Central Asian History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999. Brian Williams is a Welsh musician, sound designer and composer. He has released albums under the name Lustmord starting in the 1980s and through the present. Williams began as a recording artist within the industrial genre, working with Chris & Cosey and SPK. Shifting his work to Lustmord, Williams continued to employ the threatening aesthetics of industrial, while employing reverb and similar effects to evoke an atmosphere of cosmic horror. Starting with the 1989 album ''Heresy'', Lustmord albums have been centered on manipulating sampled recordings with a computer. These samples infamously included field recordings made in locations such as crypts, caves, and slaughterhouses. Williams now downplays the sinister connotations of these locations and says they were picked for "acoustics". Brian Christopher Williams is an American politician who is a member of the Missouri Senate from the 14th district in St. Louis County. Williams resides in University City, Missouri, and is the first Black male to serve in the Missouri Senate in over two decades. He previously held the position of Assistant Minority Floor Leader.
