Brian Bell
Brian Lane Bell (born December 9, 1968) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He is best known as the rhythm guitarist, keyboardist, backing vocalist, and occasional lead vocalist of the Rock music, rock band Weezer, with whom he has recorded fifteen studio albums. Bell also fronted the rock band The Relationship and was the lead vocalist and guitarist of the indie rock band Space Twins. Moving to Los Angeles at the age of eighteen, Bell played bass guitar in the band Carnival Art, releasing three studio albums with the band before departing in 1993. Bell subsequently joined Weezer as its rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist, at the request of band member Matt Sharp. Replacing founding member Jason Cropper, Bell joined the band during the recording of its debut album, ''Weezer (Blue Album), Weezer'' (1994). __NOTOC__ Sir Brian Ernest Bell CSM, KBE, CStJ (3 July 192825 July 2010) was an Australian-born businessman who established a business empire in Papua New Guinea. Philanthropy and honours Bell supported the Port Moresby General Hospital (where he was chairman of the board), the Red Cross and the Port Moresby City Mission. He also served as deputy lord mayor of Port Moresby, a member of the PNG lands board, the Salvation Army advisory board and the PNG law and order committee. He was at one time chairman of UPNG Foundation, the NCD South Pacific Festival of Arts and the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal. Bell also served as patron of AIESEC PNG University. He set up a school outside Port Moresby, helped in offering scholarships and funded many needy and deserving young Papua New Guineans. Brian Douglas Bell (5 March 1930 – 1 October 2016) was a New Zealand environmental consultant and ornithologist. Born in 1930, Bell grew up in Marlborough and Canterbury. Surrounded by hills, braided riverbeds, islands and rocky coasts, he soon became deeply interested in natural history. He worked for the New Zealand Wildlife Service between 1957 and 1987 on the management and conservation of threatened species. Bell, along with Don Merton, was part of the ultimately unsuccessful attempt in 1964 to save the South Island snipe, the greater short-tailed bat, and the New Zealand bush wren from extinction after the invasion of Big South Cape Island by rats. In the 1984 Queen's Birthday Honours, Bell was awarded the Queens Service Medal for public services. Brian Gordon Bell (born 14 June 1936) is a retired South African politician who represented the Democratic Party (DP), later the Democratic Alliance (DA), in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2004.
