Brett Lewis Anderson (born 29 September 1967) is an English singer best known as the lead vocalist and primary lyricist of the band Suede. After Suede disbanded in 2003, he fronted The Tears with former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler in 2004-2006, and released four solo albums in which he also played guitar and keyboards. Anderson is known for his distinctive wide-ranging voice, poetic lyrics, energetic and charismatic stage presence and, during Suede's early days, an androgynous appearance. Suede re-formed in 2010; they continue to record and tour. Bassist Mat Osman and Anderson are the remaining original members since the band's inception, and along with drummer Simon Gilbert have appeared on all Suede albums. Brett Elizabeth Anderson (born May 30, 1979 in Bloomington, Indiana, United States) is an American singer and was the lead vocalist of rock band The Donnas. She previously went by the name Donna A. Early life Anderson was born on May 30, 1979, in Bloomington, Indiana. She moved to Palo Alto, California in the seventh grade. She met her bandmates Torry Castellano, Maya Ford and Allison Robertson in junior high school. They formed a band in eighth grade called ''Ragady Anne'', later calling themselves ''The Electrocutes'' at Palo Alto High School. Other work Anderson appeared on the album ''Brats on the Beat: Ramones for Kids'' singing "California Sun". Anderson is featured in the songs "Party Til We Die" by The Leftovers, "Hey There Ophelia" by MC Lars, and "Who's to Blame" and "My War" by Sugar Knives and has performed with Camp Freddy. Early life Anderson was born in Innisfail, Queensland, Australia, and he was educated at Innisfail State High School, where he represented 2003 Australian Schoolboys. Brett Franklin Anderson (born February 1, 1988) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Toronto Blue Jays and Milwaukee Brewers. Early life He attended Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where he was an all-state selection in 2006, his senior year. He was 9–0 that season with a 0.37 ERA, 102 strikeouts and only nine walks in 57 innings. He played in the Connie Mack World Series with his amateur team after both his junior and senior seasons and in the 2005 AFLAC High School All-American Game, where he was the winning pitcher. ''Brett Anderson'' is the first solo release from Suede and The Tears frontman Brett Anderson. It was released on 26 March 2007 by Drowned in Sound Recordings. Background In May 2006, Anderson announced sketchy details for the album. He told ''NME'' that the title will be 'Brett Anderson' since "...that's my name, you see." The album was recorded whilst Anderson was recording The Tears' debut album alongside Bernard Butler. Anderson has described the record as being "...quite orchestrated, lots of string loops, that sort of thing. I guess there's a Scott Walker feel to it. I'm very proud of it; it's a very exciting record for me." The album sees Anderson taking on many more instruments than ever before. "I've played a lot of electric guitar on it; I've written a lot of the electric guitar parts. It's my baby and I've obviously been pretty obsessed with it." Bret Anderson
Bret Anderson (born April 23, 1974) is a former Canadian football placekicker and slotback who played his entire career for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. Anderson is 6'3" and 215 lbs. He played 13 years in the CFL, mostly as a slotback and all with the Lions. He went to Simon Fraser University in Burnaby. During that time, he also worked with former Coquitlam Cheetahs track and field coach Percy Perry on developing his running. Bret was drafted in the 4th round, 25th overall by the Lions in the 1997 CFL Draft. Anderson was key to the BC Lions's 2000 Grey Cup win. From 2001 to 2003, he caught 66 passes and had 4 touchdowns as a backup. He played only 5 games in 2004 before retiring to become a firefighter.
