Brent Janse Van Rensburg
Brent Janse van Rensburg (born ) is a South African rugby union coach, currently the defence coach for Bath Rugby in the English Premiership. Career He started his career at the South African Rugby Institute in Stellenbosch, also coaching at Paul Roos Gymnasium, before moving to Queenstown to become the Head of Rugby at Queen's College. He coached Border's Craven Week team for two years – winning eight of his nine matches in charge of the side – before also getting involved with the Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup teams. He became Technical Director and head coach at Alan Zondagh's Rugby Performance Centre in Riebeek Valley. He was appointed as the head coach of Varsity Cup side prior to the 2011 Varsity Cup season, where he remained for three seasons. Westering High School
Westering High School is a public co-ed high school in Westering, Port Elizabeth, South Africa catering for English-speaking students from grade 8 to 12. Varsity Cup
Varsity Cup is the collective name for four South African rugby union competitions involving the top rugby playing universities in the country. It was launched in 2008, with eight teams participating in the Varsity Cup competition and each university's internal champions competing in the Koshuis Rugby Championships (now known as Res Rugby). In 2011, a second tier competition called the Varsity Shield was added, increasing the number of participating universities to thirteen. A Young Guns tournament for the Under-20 side of the Varsity Cup teams was launched in 2012. 2016 Super Rugby Season
The 2016 Super Rugby season was the 21st season of Super Rugby and the first season featuring an expanded 18-team format. It was also the first season that teams outside Australia, New Zealand and South Africa featured, with the Jaguares from Argentina and the Sunwolves from Japan taking part. This season also saw the return of the Kings, who competed just once before, in the 2013 Super Rugby season. The round-robin games took place every weekend from 26 February to 16 July 2016 (with a break for international matches during June), followed by the finals series at the end of July and culminating in the final on 6 August. Super Rugby is a men's professional rugby union club competition involving teams from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. It previously included teams from Argentina, Japan, and South Africa. David Maidza (born 10 April 1971 in Chipinge) is a former Zimbabwean rugby union player and currently the head coach of the Varsity Cup team. His usual playing position was centre or winger. The Vodacom Cup was an annual rugby union competition in South Africa. Annual Vodacom Cup competitions were played between its inaugural season in 1998 and 2015 and was contested between February and May each year. The Vodacom Cup was the successor of the Bankfin Nite Series which was played in 1996 and 1997. Mobile communications provider Vodacom was the title sponsor for the entire duration of the competition. The competition was the third most prestigious in South African rugby, behind Super Rugby and the Currie Cup.
