Brendan Rodgers
Brendan Rodgers (born 26 January 1973) is a Northern Irish professional football manager and former player who is the manager of Premier League club Leicester City. Rodgers began his career as a defender at Ballymena United, where he stayed until he was signed by Reading at the age of 18, although a genetic knee condition forced him to retire at age 20. He remained at Reading as a coach and then academy director, and continued to play non-league football at Newport, Witney Town and Newbury Town for several years. After a period travelling around Spain to study coaching methods, he was invited by José Mourinho to leave Reading and join Chelsea as youth manager in 2004, later being promoted to reserve manager in 2006. In 2008, he was appointed manager of Watford, where he remained until he accepted an offer to become manager of his former club Reading in 2009. Brendan Austin Rodgers (born August 9, 1996) is an American professional baseball second baseman for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was drafted third overall by the Rockies in the 2015 MLB draft. Early life Brendan Austin Rodgers was born on August 9, 1996, in Winter Park, Florida, to Greg and Julie Rodgers, owners of an apparel and promotions company. Rodgers' father and his two brothers both played soccer, and he only began playing baseball at the urging of a neighbor. He grew up playing on youth baseball teams with Bo Bichette, the son of Major League Baseball (MLB) player Dante Bichette, and when Rodgers was five years old, the elder Bichette told his parents that he had "a serious future in baseball". After playing second base during his first year at Lake Mary High School, Rodgers switched to shortstop for the next three seasons. Brendan Rogers (born February 25, 1968) is a Canadian retired professional football linebacker and defensive back who played for nine years in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted in the fourth round, 32nd overall by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 1991 CFL Draft. He played in five seasons with the Blue Bombers and tied a CFL record in 1994 for most special teams tackles in a single game with seven. Rogers played in four Grey Cup championship games, winning twice with the Toronto Argonauts in 1996 and 1997. He finished his career with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and, as of 2019, is third all-time in career special teams tackles with 176. Brendan Rogers (dual Player)
Brendan Rogers (born April 1994) is a dual player of Gaelic games, i.e. hurling and Gaelic football, who plays for Derry Championship club Slaughtneil and the Derry senior teams. Career Rogers first came to prominence as a dual player at club level with Slaughtneil. He has been involved during a golden age for the club and lined out when the club lost the All-Ireland club football finals in 2015 and 2017. Rogers has also won a combined total of 6 Ulster Club Championships and 15 County Championship titles across both codes. At inter-county level, he progressed through the minor and under-21 teams as a dual player before eventually joining the Derry senior teams in both codes.
