Brendan Connell (born 1970) is an American author and translator. Though his work often falls into the horror and fantasy genres, it has also often been called unclassifiable and avant-garde. His style has been compared to that of J.K. Angela Olive Pearce (formerly Carter, Stalker; 7 May 1940 – 16 February 1992), who published under the name Angela Carter, was an English novelist, short story writer, poet, and journalist, known for her feminist, magical realism, and picaresque works. She is mainly known for her book ''The Bloody Chamber'' (1979). In 1984, her short story "The Bloody Chamber#The Company of Wolves, The Company of Wolves" was adapted into a The Company of Wolves , film of the same name.
