Bourani
Andreas Bourani (born Stiegelmair; 2 November 1983) is a German pop singer and songwriter. Career Bourani was born to Egyptian parents and adopted as an infant by a German family in Augsburg, in the southwest of Bavaria. As a youth, he attended high school at St. Stephan but left without graduating and also studied at the private music school Downtown Music Institute. In 2008, he moved from Munich to Berlin. In 2010, he received a recording contract with Universal Music and performed as an opening act for Philipp Poisel and Culcha Candela on their 2010 arena tours. In June 2011, Bourani released his debut album '' Staub & Fantasie''. It reached number 23 on the German Albums Chart and spawned the hit single "Nur in meinem Kopf" which became a top 20 hit in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. ''Hey'' is the second studio album by Germany, German recording artist Andreas Bourani. Produced by Bourani along with Julius Hartog, Peter "Jem" Seifert, Philipp Steinke and several other musicians, it was released by Vertigo Berlin on 9 May 2014 in German-speaking Europe. Boosted by the number one success of its leading single "Auf uns," it reached the top ten of the GfK Entertainment, German Albums Chart. Critical reception In his review for ''laut.de'', Manuel Berger rated the album two stars out of five. He wrote: "If you know one song, you know them all. Every track has the hooks that make it a long-running hit in the hit lists and can drive people crazy while shopping in the department store with what feels like ten listens per hour. ''The Voice of Germany'' is a German reality television, reality talent show created by John de Mol, based on the concept ''The Voice of Holland'' and its The Voice (franchise), international series. Yvonne Catterfeld (born 2 December 1979) is a German singer, actress and television personality. Born and raised in Erfurt, Thuringia, she later moved to Leipzig to pursue her career in music. In 2000, she participated in the debut season of the singing competition series ''Stimme 2000'', where she came in second place. The Global Citizen Festival is an annual music festival started in 2012 and organized by Global Poverty Project. It was founded by Ryan Gall and Hugh Evans. Gall said he was inspired by visiting Austin City Limits and seeing the branding on the stage, but wanting to replace the corporate branding with branding from charities. In 2015, the organization announced that Coldplay lead vocalist Chris Martin would serve as the festival's curator for the next 15 years. Mission The Global Citizen Festival is part of a movement to end extreme poverty. By contributing to charity acts on the website, including watching videos and signing petitions, fans can get free tickets to the festival. In addition, the organizers are striving to make the event "global" by live-streaming events in public locations.
