Born A King
''Born a King'' () is a 2019 historical coming-of-age drama film directed by Agustí Villaronga. The film stars Abdullah Ali, Ed Skrein, Hermione Corfield, Laurence Fox, and James Fleet. Plot In 1919, following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, 14-year-old Faisal is sent by his father, Emir Abdulaziz, on a high-stakes diplomatic mission to London to secure the formation of what was to become the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Young Faisal negotiates his country's and his family's future with seasoned politicians like Winston Churchill and Lord Curzon, and forms a friendship with Princess Mary. Agustí Villaronga
Agustí Villaronga Riutort (; 4 March 1953 – 22 January 2023) was a Spanish film director, screenwriter and actor. He directed several feature films, a documentary, three projects for television and three shorts. His film ''Moon Child (1989 film), Moon Child'' was entered into the 1989 Cannes Film Festival. His auteur approach to filmmaking was described by ''ScreenDaily'' as demostrative of "a keen insight into human pain and cruelty". In 2011 he won the Goya Award for Best Director for ''Black Bread''. The Catalan-language film was selected as the Spanish entry for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards, but it did not make the final shortlist. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Thunayan (; 1889–1923) was a Turkish-born Saudi royal and government official who was one of the advisors to Abdulaziz, Emir of Nejd, who later founded the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
