Booth And The Bad Angel
Booth and the Bad Angel was a British musical project based on the collaborative efforts of Tim Booth (lead singer with the British alternative rock band James) and the American film composer Angelo Badalamenti. Featuring Bernard Butler on guitar, the project's eponymous album was released in July 1996. Biography The collaboration between Booth and Badalamenti began in 1992, when Booth made an appearance on the UK Channel 4 TV show ''Friday Night at the Dome'', which set up collaborations between contemporary musicians and their heroes. Booth expressed his desire to work with Badalamenti, and the show's producers put the two in touch. At the time, Booth was busy recording and touring with James, so could not find the time to meet with Badalamenti, but the two kept in touch via transatlantic phone calls for more than two years before finally meeting. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. However, even though number 100 was classed as a hit album (as in the case of The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums) in the 1980s until January 1989, since the compilations were removed this definition was changed to Top 75 with follow-up books such as The Virgin Book of British Hit Albums book only including this data. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. In the United Kingdom, its charts include ones for singles, albums and films, with the data compiled from a mixture of downloads, purchases (of physical media) and streaming. The OCC produces its charts by gathering and combining sales data from retailers through market researchers Kantar, and claims to cover 99% of the singles market and 95% of the album market, and aims to collect data from any retailer who sells more than 100 chart items per week. Brian Peter George St John le Baptiste de la Salle Eno (; born Brian Peter George Eno, 15 May 1948) is a British musician, composer, record producer and visual artist best known for his contributions to ambient music and work in rock, pop and electronica. Chloe Goodchild is a musician, performer and recording artist. Biography Chloë Goodchild studied Music, English and Education at Cambridge and Norwich universities in England from 1972 to 1976 where she graduated as a Music-English teacher with a BEd (Honors) degree. From the late 1970s she evolved her own East-West vocal research, influenced by travels through Africa, India, Turkey, Europe, USA and Canada. Chloe's encounters with indigenous wisdom teachers, spiritual and classical Indian music masters, led to a transformative 'no-mind' experience in Northern India, inspired by the great luminary and saint Anandamayi Ma (1896–1982). This gave birth to a method of sound and voice, which Chloe eventually named The Naked Voice in 1990. Mark Egan (born January 14, 1951 in Brockton, Massachusetts, United States) is an American jazz bassist and trumpeter known for his membership in the Pat Metheny Group and the Gil Evans Orchestra. He is co-founder of the jazz fusion band, Elements. Biography Mark McDanel Egan was born in Brockton, Massachusetts in 1951. Influenced by his father, he studied trumpet at age 10. He played the trumpet throughout high school, and began playing the bass when he was 15. While attending the University of Miami's Frost School of Music, initially as a trumpet student, he studied with jazz educator Jerry Coker.
