Bombay The Hard Way
''Bombay the Hard Way: Guns, Cars and Sitars'' is a remix album which consists of tracks from 1970s Bollywood composer duo Kalyanji–Anandji (Kalyanji Virji Shah and Anandji Virji Shah) remixed by Dan the Automator. It was released on Motel Records in 1998. The album features music from films scored by the duo, such as ''Don'', ''Purab Aur Pachhim'', '' Qurbani'', and '' Karmayogi''. A sequel album titled '' Bombay 2: Electric Vindaloo'', without Automator's involvement, was released in 2001, focusing on '80s Bollywood music. Kalyanji–Anandji
Kalyanji–Anandji are an Indian composer duo: Kalyanji Virji Shah (30 June 1928 – 24 August 2000) and his brother Anandji Virji Shah (born 2 March 1933). The duo are known for their work on Hindi film soundtracks, with many evergreen songs being composed by them. Some of their best-known works are '' Don'', '' Bairaag'', '' Saraswatichandra'', '' Qurbani'', Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Laawaris (film), ''Tridev'', ''Safar'', etc. They won the 1975 Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for ''Kora Kagaz''. Howie Weinberg is an American audio mastering engineer with over 2,257 mastering credits, three TEC Awards, 21 Grammy Awards, two Juno Awards, and one Mercury Prize. Career Weinberg mastered Herbie Hancock's 1983 album ''Future Shock''. Other mastering works include the Beastie Boys' '' Licensed to Ill'' and Nirvana's ''Nevermind''. Weinberg began working in the mail room at Masterdisk in 1979, delivering recording tapes in New York City. Mastering engineer Bob Ludwig acted as his mentor. In January 2011, he left Masterdisk to set up his own mastering company in Los Angeles, Howie Weinberg Mastering, which appeared in ''Voyage LA''s "Most Inspiring Stories" on February 11, 2021. Daniel M. Nakamura better known by his stage name Dan the Automator, is an American record producer from San Francisco, California. He is the founder of the publishing company Sharkman Music and the record label 75 Ark. Early life Nakamura was born in San Francisco, California on 20 December 1968. His parents spent time in Internment of Japanese Americans, Japanese internment camps as children. His father worked for the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency and his mother taught at City College of San Francisco. As a child, he learned to play violin. ''Qurbani'' () is a 1980 Indian Hindustani action thriller film produced, directed by and starring Feroz Khan (under the banner of FK International). The film co-stars Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman, Amjad Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Aruna Irani, Amrish Puri and Kadar Khan.
