	Elizabeth Baker Bohan Elizabeth Baker Bohan (, Baker; August 18, 1849 – August 27, 1930) was a British-born American author, journalist, artist, and social reformer. She had a special interest in the reconstruction of the Incarceration in the United States, penal system. She published two novels, ''Un Americano, a story of the mission days of California'' (1895) and ''The Drag-Net, a prison story of the present day'' (1909, illustrated by Langdon Smith). Early life and education Elizabeth Claire Baker was born in Birmingham, England, August 18, 1849. Her parents were Joseph and Martha (Boddington) Baker. They came to the United States in 1854 and lived most of the time in Wisconsin. She received her education in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin public schools. Early life and career Bohan was born in Paris and grew up in Sceaux. As a child, Marc Bohan was encouraged into fashion by his mother, who worked as a milliner. After school at the Lycée Lakanal, in 1945 he secured a job at Robert Piguet where he remained for four years. In 1949 he accepted a job as an assistant to Edward Molyneux. He worked as a designer for Madeleine de Rauch in 1952, before briefly opening his own Paris salon and producing one collection in 1953. In 1954, Bohan was offered a job at Jean Patou, designing the haute couture collection, where he stayed until 1958. 	Bohán The Bohán were one of the native nations of Uruguay. A minor tribe, they were related to and eventually subsumed by the Charrúa people. They were also related to the Yaro people. The Bohanes lived on the banks of the Uruguay river from the Río Negro to the Quaraí River in what is modern-day Uruguay, near the modern border with Brazil. They were especially concentrated in the place of the modern reservoir of the Salto Grande Dam (which was not flooded at the time). According to some scholars, the tribe originated from the Entre Ríos Province in modern-day Argentina, and some of its members were active there regardless. Before the arrival of the Charrúas, the Bohán used as weapons the sling, the spear, and the dart. After its merger with the Charruas, they also began use of the bow and the bola.
