Bob Perreault
Joseph Robert Michel Perreault (January 28, 1931 – September 10, 1980) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played 31 games in the National Hockey League and 1 game in the World Hockey Association between 1955 and 1973. He played with the Detroit Red Wings, Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadiens, and Los Angeles Sharks. In ice hockey, the goaltender (commonly referred to as the goalie) is the player responsible for preventing the hockey puck from entering their team's net, thus preventing the opposing team from scoring. Save percentage (often known by such symbols as SV%, SVS%, SVP, PCT) is a statistic in various goal-scoring sports that track saves as a statistic. In ice hockey and lacrosse, it is a statistic that represents the percentage of shots on goal a goaltender stops. It is calculated by dividing the number of saves by the total number of shots on goal. Although the statistic is called a "percentage", it is often given as a decimal, in the same way as a batting average in baseball. The Rochester Americans (colloquially known as the Amerks) are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League; the team is an owned and operated affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres.
