''Bob Patterson'' is an American television sitcom starring Jason Alexander, produced by Ira Steven Behr. It was directed by Robby Benson and Barnet Kellman. The series premiered on ABC on October 2, 2001, and the final episode aired on October 31 of that year. It was canceled in November 2001 after five of the ten scheduled episodes aired. Bob Patterson (baseball)
Robert Chandler Patterson (born May 16, 1959) is an American former professional baseball player. He played all or part of 13 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) between 1985 and 1998, primarily as a middle-relief pitcher. He played for the San Diego Padres (1985), Pittsburgh Pirates (1986–92), Texas Rangers (1993), California Angels (1994–95) and Chicago Cubs (1996–98). He batted right-handed and threw left-handed. In his career, Patterson posted a 39–40 record with a 4.08 ERA and 28 saves in 559 appearances, including a 2.68 strikeout-to-walk ratio (483-to-180), 175 games finished, and innings. He was a good fielding pitcher in his major league career. Robert Eugene Patterson (April 21, 1932 – November 7, 2018) was an American basketball player known for his All-American college career at the University of Tulsa. Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Patterson came to Tulsa from East High School, where he was named the city's top player as a senior. The 6'4" forward averaged 27.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game in the 1954–55 season and was the focal point of the Golden Hurricane's first Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) championship team and NCAA Tournament participant that year. He was named All-MVC as a junior and senior. He was also the first Tulsa player to be selected as an All-American, earning first-team honors from Look Magazine and a third-team choice by the Newspaper Enterprise Association.
