Bob Joyce (cricketer)
Bob Joyce (born 11 December 1947) is an Australian cricketer. He played in sixteen first-class and four List A matches for Queensland between 1969 and 1973. Joyce played for Sandgate-Redcliffe in Brisbane Grade Cricket debuting for the C grade side in the 1961-62 season and making the A grade side in the 1965-66 season. He became a successful allrounder topping the competition bowling averages in four seasons from 1968 to 1978 and the batting average in four seasons from 1970 to 1974. In 1969 he also became a member of the Sandgate-Redcliffe Club Executive Committee serving for many years and he was named captain of the club for the 1974-75 and 1977-78 seasons. In 1979 he was awarded life membership with the club having scored 4495 runs at an average of 30.17 and taking 279 wickets at an average of 20.30 in his club career. Auchenflower is an inner western riverside Suburbs and localities (Australia), suburb of the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , Auchenflower had a population of 6,053 people. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is of three or more days scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but the term was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs. List A cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (one-day) form of the sport of cricket, with games lasting up to eight hours. List A cricket includes One Day International (ODI) matches and various domestic competitions in which the number of overs in an innings per team ranges from forty to sixty, most commonly fifty overs, as well as some international matches involving nations who have not achieved official ODI status. The Sandgate-Redcliffe District Cricket Club is a cricket club in Sandgate and Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia. They play in the Queensland Premier Cricket competition. They were founded in 1961. The Gators are most known for their three-peat of two-day premierships in the 1997/98, 1998/99 and 1999/00 seasons. Brisbane Grade Cricket
Queensland Premier Cricket is the top cricket competition played in Queensland, Australia. The competition was founded under the name Brisbane Electoral Cricket in 1897 and eventually came to be known as Brisbane Grade Cricket, but has since expanded to take in teams from Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Ipswich. As of the 2019/20 season there were six grades in the Two-Day Bulls Masters competition. In addition to the two-day Grade competition there is also a One-Day competition for the John McKnoulty Cup and a T20 competition for the Tom Veivers Trophy.
