Bob Hay born Robert Donald Hay, Jr. on January 28, 1950, is an American songwriter and the multi-instrumentalist and vocalist for Athens, Georgia projects the Squalls, Bob Hay & the Jolly Beggars, Noogeez, A. Che Why and Supercluster. Biography Hay was born on January 28, 1950, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to a postal worker and housewife. He attended Aquinas College (Grand Rapids) and worked as a school teacher and as a statistician prior to divorcing his first wife and moving to Kennebunkport, Maine. As musician Hay was convinced by Ken Starratt to move to Athens, Georgia, from Maine after making a trip to Athens in the late 1970s and surveying the blossoming music scene. Bob met other local musicians including roommate "Big" Al Walsh, Mig Little and Diana Torell and formed the band the Squalls. Bob Hay (general)
Major General Robert Arthur Hay, (9 April 1920 – 26 January 1998) was an Australian Army general. He also played Australian rules football and made two appearances in 1942 for Richmond in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Both of Hay's VFL games were finals. He made his debut in Richmond's semi-final win over Essendon at Princes Park and also played in the 1942 VFL Grand Final two weeks later against the same opponent, as a half forward flanker. Richmond lost the grand final by 53 points and Hay never played again for the club. Robert Hay (2 March 1880 – 27 December 1959) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Fitzroy in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Family The son of Presbyterian cleric George Hay (1843-1928), and Elizabeth McKelvie Hay (1847-1926), née McKenzie, Robert Hay was born in Ardrossan, Scotland on 2 March 1880. His younger brother, John McKenzie Hay (1886–1958), played with Collingwood in the VFL. He married Alice Anderson Dobie (1889-1944) on 20 December 1912; they had four daughters, Ethel, Jean, Lorna, and Olive. Education He attended Scotch College, Melbourne. Bob Hay (born 13 June 1938) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Early life Bob Hay was born in Burnie in 1938 to Mr and Mrs Ronald Hay. He grew up in Deloraine and attended the local Area School. As a teenager, he was fortunate that his involvement in a motorcycle accident left him only shaken and not badly injured. Football career Hay played with Longford in the NTFA during the mid to late 1950s and was coached by Fred Davies. He then joined St Kilda in 1960.
