Hove
Hove ( ) is a seaside resort in East Sussex, England. Alongside Brighton, it is one of the two main parts of the city of Brighton and Hove. Originally a fishing village surrounded by open farmland, it grew rapidly in the 19th century in response to the development of its eastern neighbour Brighton; by the Victorian era it was a fully developed town with borough status. Peter John Wales (30 October 1928 – 3 October 2018) was a former English cricketer. Wales was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. He was born in Hove, Sussex and was educated at the Hove Grammar School. Wales made his debut for Sussex in the 1948 Minor Counties Championship against Surrey. Shaw played Minor counties cricket for Sussex from 1948 to 1949, which included 13 Minor Counties Championship matches. Wales made a single first-class appearance for Sussex against Hampshire at Manor Sports Ground, Worthing in 1951. Michael John Standing (born 20 March 1981) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. After terminating his playing career, Standing became an agent for former teammate and long-term friend Gareth Barry until his subsequent retirement from professional football. Jack Pizzey is a British television documentary-maker, presenter and author. Early life Pizzey was born in Sussex, UK. Lionel John March (26 January 1934 20 February 2018) was a British mathematician, architect and digital artist, perhaps best known for his early pioneering of computer-aided architecture and art. Early life and education March was born in Hove, England on 26 January 1934. As a teenager, his interests included mathematics, theatre and design. At the age of 17 he wrote an original mathematical paper generalizing the theory of complex numbers to n-dimensions, for which the computer pioneer Alan Turing wrote "you have done this research with imagination and competence". Electrelane is an English indie rock band, formed in Brighton in 1998 by Verity Susman and Emma Gaze. The band consists of Susman, Gaze, Mia Clarke, and Ros Murray. Their music draws from a wide range of influences including Neu!, Stereolab, Sonic Youth, and the Velvet Underground. When playing live, the band has a reputation for a focused show that minimizes audience interaction and rarely included more than one encore. Mia Lauren Clarke (born 20 March 1983) is an English guitarist from the alternative rock band Electrelane and an entrepreneur.
