''Blackwell'' is a series of five graphic adventure video games from independent game developer Wadjet Eye Games, created by Dave Gilbert. The games' plots focus on Rosangela Blackwell, a spiritual medium, and her spirit guide Joey Mallone, who work to help ghosts transition to the afterlife. Backwell
Backwell is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority area of North Somerset, in the ceremonial county of Somerset, England. In 2011 it had a population of 4,589. The village lies about southwest of Bristol, south of the A370 to Weston-super-Mare. The parish includes the hamlets of Backwell Common, Backwell Green, and Backwell Farleigh, and the districts of Backwell West Town and Downside. Blackwell is a graphics processing unit (GPU) microarchitecture developed by Nvidia as the successor to the Hopper (microarchitecture), Hopper and Ada Lovelace (microarchitecture), Ada Lovelace microarchitectures. Named after statistician and mathematician David Blackwell, the name of the Blackwell architecture was leaked in 2022 with the B40 and B100 accelerators being confirmed in October 2023 with an official Nvidia roadmap shown during an investors presentation. Blackwell House
Blackwell House is a historic house on Roosevelt Island in New York City. The house's name comes from Jacob Blackwell, who built the house in 1796. He was the great-grandson of Robert Blackwell, who in 1686 took ownership of what was then known as Manning's Island and subsequently became the island's new namesake. James Blackwell (educator)
James Heyward Blackwell (February 5, 1864October 14, 1931) was an American educator and businessman. He was one of the first African Americans to serve as a principal in Virginia, founded several financial services companies for African Americans, and is the namesake of the Richmond neighborhood of Blackwell and the J.H. Blackwell Elementary School. Early life and education James Heyward Blackwell was born into slavery on February 5, 1864 in Marion, Virginia, the eldest of four children. By 1870, Blackwell's family had moved to Manchester, Virginia. Although his parents could not write or read, they encouraged Blackwell to pursue an education. Roosevelt Island is an island in New York City's East River, within the borough of Manhattan. It lies between Manhattan Island to the west, and the borough of Queens, on Long Island, to the east. Blackwell is a town in Forest County, Wisconsin. The population was 332 at the time of the 2010 census. The unincorporated community of Blackwell is located in the town.
