Blackout (Hed PE Album)
''Blackout'' is the third studio album by American rock band Hed PE. Released on March 18, 2003, ''Blackout'' peaked at number 33 on the ''Billboard'' 200, selling 28,000 copies in its first week, while its title track peaked at number 21 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and at number 32 on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart. A second single, "Other Side", peaked at number 40 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The album also peaked at number 102 in the United Kingdom. The song "Get Away" is featured in NASCAR Thunder 2003 produced by EA Sports. Sonny Mayo is credited playing guitar, but didn't play according to an interview with Good Company. This is the last release by the band to have two Guitarists, after Chizad quit in 2002. Hed PE (standing for ''Higher Education Planet Earth/Planetary Evolution'', typeset as (həd)p.e., (hed) Planet Earth, (Hed)pe or (Hed)PE) is an American rock band from Huntington Beach, California. Formed in 1994, the band is known for its eclectic genre-crossing style, predominately in the fusion of gangsta rap and punk rock it has termed "G-punk", but also for its reggae-fused music. After releasing three albums on Jive Records, Hed PE left the label to record independently. Hed PE was signed with Suburban Noize Records from 2006 until 2010. ''MVP Baseball 2003'' is a baseball video game developed by EA Canada and published by EA Sports for Xbox, PlayStation 2, and Microsoft Windows in 2003. It is the first installment of the '' MVP Baseball'' series, and was released as a successor to EA's ''Triple Play'' games, though it bore little more than a graphical similarity to its predecessors, which had been heavily maligned by critics in the series' final years. The PlayStation 2 version was ported to Japan for release on June 5, 2003. Randy Johnson and Miguel Tejada were the cover players. The 2003 game is the last game that uses a points system for player's salary; starting with the 2004 game an actual dollar amount is used for salaries. The 14th installment of the ''Madden NFL'' series, the game features former St. Louis Rams running back Marshall Faulk on the cover. This edition of ''Madden'' was the first to have EA Trax, the Mini Camp mode, and to feature Al Michaels as play-by-play announcer, who took over for Pat Summerall. ''Hed PE'' (stylized as ''(həd)pe'') is the debut album by the American rock band Hed PE. It was released on August 12, 1997, by Jive Records, and has sold over 100,000 copies. Music Six of the tracks on this album were re-recorded from the band's debut EP, '' Church of Realities''. The album's musical style is a fusion of punk, hip hop, metal, funk and reggae. Limp Bizkit is an American nu metal band from Jacksonville, Florida. Paulo Sergio "Jared" Gomes, also known as Jahred and M.C.U.D. ("MC Underdog") (born February 29, 1964), is an American singer and rapper best known as the lead vocalist of Hed PE. Biography Gomes was born Paulo Sergio Gomes on February 29, 1964, in Fort Worth, Texas, to a mother of Indigenous Brazilian descent and a father of Afro-Brazilian descent. He got his first start in the music industry as the frontman of the new wave band the Clue, which was active from 1984 until 1990. After that he fronted Live Urban Sexx Tribe from 1991 to 1994. He later met guitarist Wes Geer amidst the Orange County hardcore punk scene, and the two formed a band, recruited guitarist Chizad, bassist Mawk, drummer B.C. Vaught and DJ Product 1969. They named the group "Hed", which stands for "higher education". Ronald D. Mayo (born July 16, 1971) is an American guitarist. He is best known for playing with Snot, Amen, and Sevendust, co-writing several albums. He co-founded Rock to Recovery, a music therapy non-profit, in 2014. Career Mayo began playing in a thrash metal band called Silence in the late 1980s. Silence (John Mayes, Benjamin Gaither, Louie Denslow, Jason Robinson and Sonny), regularly sold out venues in the DC Metro area including the "Bayou" in Georgetown. ''NASCAR Thunder 2003'' is the sixth edition of the EA Sports' NASCAR racing simulator series. Developed by EA Tiburon and Budcat Creations and published by EA Sports. It was released for PlayStation, PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Xbox on September 18, 2002, and for Microsoft Windows on October 21. The product features Dale Earnhardt Jr. on the cover. It was the first time the NASCAR's Most Popular Driver Award recipient was featured on the cover, although he did not win the award for the first time until the following year. Dale Earnhardt appeared in the game as a driver as a result of entering his name as a Create-A-Car driver's name; he did not appear in the previous game due to his death.
