Blackhouse Records
Blackhouse Records is an American independent record label founded by Scott Rozell (drummer for Moral Crux and Scatterbox), and Tony Shields. The label is based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and was originally a logo created in 2000 for the purpose of selling Scatterbox records and promoting local Inland Northwest punk rock concerts Over the years, it has evolved into a moderate-sized independent record label. Throughout the 2000's, most of the bands on Blackhouse were punk rock, punk and pop punk groups, while there are many heavy metal music, heavy metal and rap acts signed to the label as well. Blackhouse started a short-lived imprint, "Totally Fucked", which signed noise and grindcore bands, however they all now roll up under the Blackhouse imprint. Scott Rozell
Scatterbox is an American punk rock band from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Formed in 2000, the current lineup includes Tom White (vocals), Scott Rozell (drums), Mark Cogburn (guitar), Ryan White (bass), and Sean Nicol (guitar). They are currently signed with Blackhouse Records of Spokane, Washington. Scatterbox has released five full-length albums (including one live record), and three EPs, one of which was a split release with the now-defunct Spokane, Washington band, American Zero (whose members went on to join The Lashes, Moral Crux, and Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground). Past members Past members include (all guitarists) Dan Stamper (2000–2002), Jared Brown (2002–2005), Chris Copulos (2003–2005), and Sean Nicol (2005–2009). Henry Rollins
Henry Lawrence Garfield (born February 13, 1961), known professionally as Henry Rollins, is an American singer, writer, spoken word artist, actor, comedian, and presenter. After performing in the short-lived hardcore punk band State of Alert in 1980, Rollins fronted the California hardcore band Black Flag (band), Black Flag from 1981 to 1986. Following the band's breakup, he established the record label and publishing company 2.13.61 to release his spoken word albums, and formed the Rollins Band, which toured with a number of lineups from 1987 to 2003 and in 2006. Oxbow (band)
Oxbow was an American experimental rock band from San Francisco, California. Founded in 1988, the band released eight studio albums, disbanding in 2024. History Oxbow began as a recording project. In 1988 Eugene Robinson (vocals, lyrics) and Niko Wenner (guitar, bass, keyboards, producer, music) wrote songs with an approach decidedly different from Whipping Boy, their band at the time. Recruiting their former Whipping Boy bandmate Bart Thurber as sound engineer, recording commenced after Robinson’s attempt at a solo album failed and was abandoned due to his “zero musical skills.” Wenner concocted an underlying musical architecture for his abrasive-then-plangent music, through use of arch form and musical palindromes unusual in the noise music genre the band was often placed.
