Bitches Ain't Shit
"Bitches Ain't Shit" is the final song of Dr. Dre's 1992 album ''The Chronic''. Though never a single, it was an underground hit that contributed significantly to the album's sales. In addition to Dre's verse, "Bitches Ain't Shit" also features Dat Nigga Daz, Kurupt and singer Jewell. It proved controversial due to its prevalent themes of misogyny. Production "Bitches Ain't Shit" was originally a hidden track, but was added to the cover art from the 2001 reissue onwards. It was a last-minute replacement for "Deep Cover", which the label felt was too risky to release on ''The Chronic'' in the wake of the " Cop Killer" controversy. The song is written in the G-funk style which Dre pioneered, including a bass riff interpolated from Funkadelic's " Adolescent Funk" and a whistle synthesiser riff in the "Funky Worm" style, plus samples from MC Shan's "The Bridge" and Trouble Funk's "Let's Get Small". In popular music, interpolation (also called a replayed sample) refers to using a melodyor portions of a melody (often with modified lyrics)from a previously recorded song but re-recording the melody instead of directly sampling it. Interpolation is often cited as a legal defence to mask unlicensed sampling when the artist or label who owns the recording of the music declines to license the sample, or if licensing the piece of music is considered too costly. Moral Panic
A moral panic is a widespread feeling of fear that some evil person or thing threatens the values, interests, or well-being of a community or society. It is "the process of arousing social concern over an issue", usually perpetuated by moral entrepreneurs and mass media coverage, and exacerbated by politicians and lawmakers. Moral panic can give rise to new laws aimed at controlling the community. Stanley Cohen, who developed the term, states that moral panic happens when "a condition, episode, person or group of persons emerges to become defined as a threat to societal values and interests". ''Ego Trip'' was a hip hop culture, hip hop magazine started in New York City in 1994. It lasted four years and 13 issues and distinguished itself based on its irreverence and defiant attitude, eventually adopting the tagline, "the arrogant voice of musical truth." "Real Muthaphuckkin' Gs," or "Real Compton City Gs" in its radio edit, is a diss track released as a single in August 1993 by American rapper Eazy-E with guest rappers Dresta, Gangsta Dresta and B.G. Knocc Out. Peaking at #42 on Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'''s Hot 100, and the most successful of Eazy's singles as a solo artist, it led an Extended play, EP, also his most successful, ''It's On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa''. Eric Lynn Wright (September 7, 1964 – March 26, 1995), known professionally as Eazy-E, was an American rapper who propelled West Coast rap and gangsta rap by leading the group N.W.A and its label, Ruthless Records. Trouble Funk is an American R&B and funk band from Washington, D.C. The group helped to popularize funk and the subgenre go-go in the Washington metropolitan area.
