Bill Regan (baseball)
William Wright Regan (January 23, 1899 – June 11, 1968) was an American professional baseball second baseman. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1926 to 1931 for the Boston Red Sox and Pittsburgh Pirates. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Regan was a World War I veteran who played semi-pro baseball before starting his professional career in 1922. He played for the Kitchener and Flint teams of the Michigan-Ontario League, and later moved on to the Columbus Senators of the American Association. In 1925 hit a .298 batting average for Columbus, and .317 in 38 games in 1926, before joining the Boston Red Sox at midseason to become the team's regular second baseman for the next five years. Basically a line drive hitter and smart baserunner, Regan had good contact and was able to convert his gap line drives into extra bases. Bill Regan (ice Hockey)
William Donald Regan (December 11, 1908 – February 16, 1995) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played 67 games in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers and New York Americans between 1930 and 1933. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1929 to 1934, was spent in the minor leagues. He was born in Creighton Mine, Ontario. Playing career Regan began his professional career in 1929, playing for the Boston Tigers, although later that season he was traded to the New York Rangers. He subsequently played for the Bronx Tigers, the Springfield Indians and the New Haven Eagles before being traded to the New York Americans.
