Bill Nelson
Clarence William Nelson II (born September 29, 1942) is an American politician and attorney serving as the administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Nelson previously served as a United States Senator from Florida from 2001 to 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1972 to 1978 and in the United States House of Representatives from 1979 to 1991. In January 1986, Nelson became the second sitting member of U.S. Congress to fly in space, after Senator Jake Garn, when he served as a payload specialist on mission STS-61-C aboard the Space Shuttle ''Columbia''. Before entering politics he served in the U.S. Army Reserve during the Vietnam War. As of 2022, Nelson remains the last Democrat to have served as a United States Senator from Florida. Bill Nelson (born September 30, 1946) is an American artist and sculptor. His artwork has been exhibited at numerous galleries including the Norman Rockwell Museum, and has appeared on the covers of major publications such as The New Yorker, Newsweek, New York Times Book Review, TV Guide, and The Atlantic Monthly, as well as genre magazines such as Famous Monsters of Filmland and Cinefantastique. His designs were featured in the 1996 "Big Band" series of postage stamps issued by the U.S. Post Office. His awards include two gold medals from the New York Art Director's Club and two silver medals from the Society of Illustrators. William Nelson (born 18 December 1948) is an English singer, guitarist, songwriter, producer, painter, video artist, writer and experimental musician. He rose to prominence as the chief songwriter, vocalist and guitarist of the rock group Be-Bop Deluxe, which he formed in 1972. Nelson has been described as "one of the most underrated guitarists of the seventies art rock movement". In 2015, he was recognised with the Visionary award at the Progressive Music Awards. Billy Nelson (1903–1973), born William Nelson in Brooklyn, New York, was an American vaudeville comedian and actor who appeared in over 80 films and television programs. He was featured several times on one of the iconic black and white TV series of the 1950s '' Adventures of Superman''; his appearances are still seen on television today. He also played roles in the historic Hal Roach short comedy films as one of Hal Roach's All-Stars in the two-reel films often shown in theaters during the World War II era. William "Billy Bass" Nelson (born January 28, 1951) is a U.S. musician, who was the original bassist for Funkadelic. He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, inducted in 1997 with fifteen other members of Parliament-Funkadelic. Career Nelson was born in Plainfield, New Jersey and as a teenager worked at George Clinton's barbershop, sweeping the floor and singing and dancing for the customers. Clinton was a member of the doo wop vocal group the Parliaments, who scored a nationwide hit in 1967 with the song "(I Wanna) Testify". Clinton put together a backing band as musical support for a tour and recruited Nelson, who in turn recommended his friend Eddie Hazel. Nelson and Hazel eventually took on bass and lead guitar roles respectively. Bill Nelson (baseball)
William F. Nelson (September 28, 1863 – June 23, 1941) was a starting pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the Pittsburgh Alleghenys of the American Association. Nelson threw right-handed; his batting side is unknown. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana. Little is known about Nelson, who was 20 years old when he entered the majors on September 3, 1884. He posted a 4.50 ERA in three complete games and did not have a decision, giving up 13 earned runs on 26 hits and eight walks while striking out six in 26 innings of work. As a hitter, he went 2-for-12 (.167) with a run scored. He played his final game on September 10, and never appeared in a major league game again. Nelson died in his native Terre Haute at age 77. Omaima Aree Nelson (born c. 1968) is an Egyptian former model and nanny who was convicted of murdering her husband, Bill Nelson. Desiré D. Dubounet (born William Charles Nelson; 19June 1951) is an American alternative medicine inventor, filmmaker and performer currently living in Budapest. Dubounet developed the pseudoscientific Electro Physiological Feedback Xrroid, an energy medicine device that is considered to be dangerous to health and has been described as a scam. Biography Dubounet developed the pseudoscientific EPFX device in the late 1980s which supposedly claimed could diagnose and eliminate diseases including AIDS and cancer.
