Bill Gooderham
Norman William Gooderham (12 May 1919 – 15 December 1979) was a Canadian sailor. He competed at the 1948 Summer Olympics in the Sailing at the 1948 Summer Olympics – Star, Star class and at the 1952 Summer Olympics in the Sailing at the 1952 Summer Olympics – 6 Metre, 6 meter category and finished seventh-eights. Gooderham trained at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club and later served as its Commodore. He came from a family of prominent businessmen and sailors that included George Horace Gooderham, Albert Gooderham and William Gooderham Sr. Besides his ancestors, his sisters Audrey and Ruth, his wife JoAnne, his son Bryan and grandchildren Yolande and Billy Gooderham, Billy, all competed in sailing. In 1949, during their honeymoon, Gooderham and his wife placed fourth at an international regatta in Bermuda. Lambton Shores is a municipality in Lambton County, Ontario, Canada, that is on the southern shores of Lake Huron. History Lambton Shores was formed in 2001 when the Township of Bosanquet was amalgamated with the town of Forest, and the villages of Arkona, Grand Bend and Thedford, Ontario, Thedford. George Horace Gooderham
George Horace Gooderham (April 18, 1868 – December 22, 1942) was a Canadians, Canadian businessman and politician. From 1908 to 1919, he was a Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, Conservative member in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, representing Toronto South (provincial electoral district), Toronto South and then Toronto Southwest. Life and career Born in Toronto, his father was George Gooderham Sr. (1830–1905), a prominent businessman, and his mother was Harriet Dean. He married Cora Maude Northrop. He worked in the business founded by his grandfather, William Gooderham Sr., William Gooderham, which was the Gooderham and Worts, Gooderham & Worts distillery. His brother, Albert Gooderham, also worked in the family business.
