Bignona Department
Bignona Department is one of the three departments in the Ziguinchor Region of Senegal. Departments Of Senegal
The 14 regions of Senegal are subdivided into 46 departments and 103 arrondissements (neither of which have administrative function) and by ''collectivités locales'' (the 14 ''régions'', 110 ''communes'', and 320 ''communautés rurales'') which elect administrative officers. Kataba Arrondissement
Kataba arrondissement is an arrondissement in Senegal. It is one of the 4 arrondissements in the Bignona Department of Ziguinchor Region in the south-west of the country. Previously known as Diouloulou, it was renamed in 2008 when Diouloulou town became an urban commune. The chief settlement is Kataba I. The arrondissement is divided into three rural districts (''communautés rurales''); Kataba 1, Djinaky and Kafountine. Mlomp
Mlomp is a rural community and village in the Ziguinchor Region of Senegal in the Casamance, situated approximately south-west of Ziguinchor. As of 2000, it had a population of 7,628, rising to around 8,500 in 2006. Most inhabitants are of Diola ethnicity and speaking the Diola language, and many also speak the Ouolof language and French. Administration The rural district (''communauté rurale'') of Mlomp belongs to the arrondissement of Loudia Ouolof, in the Oussouye Department of the Ziguinchor Region. Within the district are the villages of : Mlomp has an elementary and secondary school, a dispensary, and a town hall. Djinaky
Dijinaki or Dijinaky is a small town and rural commune in the Bignona Department of the Ziguinchor Region of southwestern Senegal. In 2002 the town had a population of 1226 people, while the overall rural commune had a population of 16,553 people. It lies along the N5 road, which connects it directly to the town of Diouloulou in the northwest, passing through the small towns of Mahamouda and Karantaba along the way. Diouloulou
Diouloulou is a small town and commune in the Bignona Department of the Ziguinchor Region of southwestern Senegal. In 2002, the town had a population of 2,725 people. Diouloulou, a quiet, unremarkable town, lies along the N5 road. There is a small church, Eglise de Diouloulou, in the southern outskirts of the town, and a campement at Auberge Myriam.
