Big Brother (Belgian Season 3)
''Big Brother 3'', also known as ''Big Brother: Anders'', was the third season of the Belgian version of ''Big Brother'' aired in the Flemish Region of Belgium on Kanaal 2. The show started on 1 September 2002 and finished on 15 December 2002 with a total duration of 106 days. Kelly Vandevenne won €33,099. This season had a unique concept. In comparison with previous seasons, the house was very luxurious, each housemate had its own budget and tasks were diverse in time and place (since there were outdoor tasks). ''Big Brother'' also added a mole. Halfway through the season, the nomination system was changed. 14 housemates participated this season, only one housemate was removed. The live shows got less ratings than previous seasons. The highlights shows often got more than 500,000 views. 892,000 viewers watched the final. Producers called it their best season yet. Kanaal 2
VTM 2 (formerly Q2) is a Belgian television channel owned by the commercial broadcasting company DPG Media. History The channel was originally known as Kanaal 2. However, it has undergone several rebrandings over the years. At launch in 1995, the channel was branded as Ka2 (Dutch pronunciation of K2), then Kanaal 2. In 2001, it was branded KANAALTWEE. On 12 February 2008 the channel changed its name to 2BE, retaining the 2 but referring to the Belgian ISO Country Code BE. In September 2016, the channel changed its name to Q2. This was an extension of the Qmusic radio station brand owned by Medialaan. On 31 August 2020, Q2 rebranded as VTM 2, as part of a rebranding of the 4 main DPG channels. Linter () is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns of Drieslinter, Melkwezer, Neerhespen (where the canine school of the Belgian police is situated), Neerlinter, Orsmaal-Gussenhoven, Overhespen and Wommersom. On January 1, 2006, Linter had a total population of 7,037. The total area is 36.38 km² which gives a population density of 193 inhabitants per km². Francesca Vanthielen (born 24 December 1972 in Eeklo) is a Belgian television actress and host, radio presenter, and economist. She is probably best known internationally for playing the lead role in the Svalbard-set adventure film '' When the Light Comes'' (1998) and for hosting ''Sterren op de dansvloer'' (''Dancing with the Stars'') between 2005 and 2008. JIM (launched as JIMtv in 2001) was a Flemish television channel of the Medialaan (Now DPG Media) that is aimed at people aged between 15 and 24. Its name is a backronym for "Jong, Interactief en Meer" (English: ''Young, Interactive and More''). During its first years, the channel mainly broadcast music videos. They have since started mixing this with programs such as Brainiac and Snoop Dogg's Father Hood. The channel stopped broadcasting on December 16, 2015. History The cradle of JIMtv were Jo Nachtergaele, Michael Dujardin, Peter Hoogland, Frank Molnar, Serge Jespers and Inge Tossyn. They were responsible for the content, the channel look and positioning of JIMtv. Jean-Marie Pfaff (born 4 December 1953) is a Belgian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper who spent most of his professional career with Beveren and Bayern Munich. Pfaff was capped 64 times playing for Belgium, and participated at the 1982 FIFA World Cup and 1986 FIFA World Cup tournaments. Club career Pfaff was born in Lebbeke.
