Bicycle helmets have been mandatory for bicycle riders of all ages in New Zealand since January 1994. New Zealand is one of only Bicycle helmet laws by country, four countries, including Australia, which currently both require and enforce universal use of helmets by cyclists. Harry James Duynhoven (born 1955) is a New Zealand politician and member of the New Zealand Labour Party. He was the mayor of the city of New Plymouth and surrounding districts from 2010–2013. Cycling Action Network (CAN) is a national cycling advocacy group founded in November 1996 in Wellington, New Zealand.
